Michael Rasmuson

Senior Vice President, General Counsel & Chief Compliance Officer

With over 25 years of legal and risk management experience in the oilfield industry throughout more than 50 countries, Michael Rasmuson has served as senior vice president, general counsel & chief compliance officer since 2018.

Prior to joining Nabors, Rasmuson served as executive counsel for Baker Hughes. During his 16 years at Baker Hughes, Rasmuson held several leadership positions in various locations including the USA, Africa, Europe, the Middle East and Asia Pacific.

Rasmuson was also in private practice for several years with CMS Cameron McKenna in London, Gowlings LLP and Miller Thomson LLP in Calgary. He received a law degree from the University of Wales and completed his pre-law studies at the University of Calgary.

Rasmuson is also a frequent speaker at legal and industry conferences and a guest college lecturer.
